The School of the Arts and the Joan Phelps Palladino School of Dance at Dean College will perform a number of performances throughout the month of April, including the Freshman Theatre Showcase, the Senior Theatre Showcase, the Senior Dance Showcase and the Dance Company.

The Freshman Theatre Showcase is an informal showing of monologues, scenes, songs, and theatre works brought to the stage by our first-year theatre majors. The Freshman Theatre Showcase will take place Friday, April 8 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 10 at 2:00 p.m.

Featuring scenes, songs and monologues, the annual Senior Theatre Showcase is a celebration of the class of 2022 and the cohort’s formal introduction to the professional theatre community. The Senior Theatre Showcase will take place Saturday, April 9 and Sunday, April 10 at 7:30 p.m.

The Senior Dance Showcase will take place Friday, April 22 and Saturday, April 23 at 7:30 p.m. Creating a performance from the ground up, our talented senior dance students share their choreography, performance and production expertise in this annual collaborative showcase.

The Dance Company will run from Thursday, April 28 through Sunday, May 1. Award-winning faculty and guest choreographers showcase the impressive talent of our dance majors through a mixed bill of new and restaged dance works, ranging in style from hip-hop to jazz dance, tap to modern and ballet. The Dance Company will take place at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, with matinee performances at 2:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

All four productions will take place in the Main Stage in the Campus Center at Dean College, 109 West Central Street, Franklin.

Dean College welcomes families and guests over the age of 12 to all our performances, provided patrons have complied with all COVID-19 safety guidelines.
