Franklin Art Association Welcomes New Members
The Franklin Art Association has a full line up of exciting events this coming season beginning with its first meeting on September 7th at 6:30 p.m. at the Franklin Senior Center. The program will feature a discussion and demonstration of methods and techniques by Deborah Drummond, a regionally known abstract artist. Programs are free and the public is invited to attend. Whether you are an amateur or professional artist or photographer, or just have an interest in learning how artists create their work, you are invited!
Art Association members will be present at the Cultural Festival on the Franklin Common from noon to 6 p.m. on September 10th to share information about programs and activities. Stop by the tent and get to know some of the member artists!
The Franklin Association will be participating in the Harvest Festival on October 1st with a booth on Main Street and an art show and sale in the Rockland Bank Annex building. Featured this year will be a raffle of donated paintings and other gift items to support the scholarship fund. Please stop by to see the wonderful creativity of your local artists and support the scholarship fundraising efforts. In addition, the public is invited to visit the Art Association’s new gallery in the Escape into Fiction bookstore at 18 Main Street to see the new exhibit.
The Art Association is supported in part by grants from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, the Franklin Cultural Council and the Franklin Cultural District.
